IT IS now time for Gez Sole to produce the goods or forget about a league career, according to his boss at Woking.
Graham Baker got the home-grown forward to sign a new oneyear contract yesterday, but warned Sole, who spent most of last season on-loan or sidelined, that his next campaign would be pivotal.
Baker said: "Gez still dreams of playing league football and we want that for him too, but he's at the crossroads of his career.
"You can be promising only for so long, but if he were to hit the ground running and live up to his earlier promise, I'm sure he would be very
much back on track to achieve his ambitions."
Sam Sloma and Jerome Maledon will also be playing for Woking in the Conference South this year.
Winger Sloma arrives after being released by Chelmsford City having made his name with Dagenham & Redbridge in the Football League.
"Sam offered that bit more experience than other wingers we were looking at," said Baker. "And he can play on either flank."
Midfielder Maledon returns to the Cards fold after a season away with Basingstoke after graduating from the Woking academy under Baker.
The manager said: "I know all about Jerome - his character and what he can bring us."
