0 GIUSEPPE Sole reckons he should have scored six more goals for Woking this season - but the striker is at a loss to explain why he's so deadly from the penalty spot and so wayward everywhere else.
For all that, the Woking-born player (pictured) refuses to beat himself up about his and the rest of the team's barren spell in front of goal, that has netted just a single point from the last six available.
Only the bottom two, including Weymouth, have scored fewer - and Sole revealed boss Graham Baker was about as down as he bad been
last week after the 1-0 home reverse to St Albans.
Sole said: "The manager was disappointed - and of course, confidence among the forwards is low. But there's no point in going overboard about it. We've just got to stick at it on the training pitch, and I'm sure that when we get a good win the goals will flow.'
In all fairness to Sole, no one apart from him got a legitimate chance at a blustery Wessex Stadium against a side that were 24 hours from going out of business on Monday night.
Moses Ademola came close for
Woking, but was offside, and sub Charlie Moone, who came on for Sole, hit the bar late on - but also saw the offside flag raised.
The lines were definitely blurred in the last 10 minutes when it was difficult to see who were the team with wages in their pocket - and who were waiting for a long overdue payday.
Weymouth poured forward, and as keeper Ross Worner was injured challenging for a cross, the loose ball rolled towards the line, only to bring a miraculous clearance from Tony Sinclair. Apart from that, the Woking defence, as ever, remained solid.
